About the Author
Kate Bingaman Burt is an illustrator and educator. She has been making work about consumption since 2002, teaching since 2004 and drawing since 2006. Her first book was Obsessive Consumption: What Did You Buy Today?, (Princeton Architectural Press) Kate Bingaman-Burt is also the author of the What did I Buy Today? Journal.

Cute and just what I needed!

I've been trying to eat better, I decided that keeping a food journal would help me since I feel like writing it down would reinforce my commitment to it. I'm so happy I got this journal instead of trying to use a plain lined journal!
First of all, it's adorable, it has such cute little drawings everywhere and it has plenty of pages to add my own drawings or notes. The way they lay out the actual food journaling pages is great. It has 4 entry places per page, so if you want to do one page per day like I do, you could do one entry for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and miscellaneous food like snacks or dessert and it's all nicely on the same page. At the bottom of the page I also like to write what I did for exercise that day.
It's a such a nice little book that I can take it everywhere with me without weighing down my bag. I love this little journal and when I've filled this one all up I'm definitely going to buy another one!

The journal is cute and is nice if you are looking to jot down food that you enjoy and places you like eating at. I was wanting it more for a daily recording of foods I ate and notes if there are any symptoms. There is not much room for any note taking.
